Introduction

 Hello Everyone!

I am excited to get my blog started for the Fall 2022 Semester. For my weekly blog, I would like to write about how the media affects international relations, specifically Canadian/American relations. Being a dual citizen, I have first hand experience of Canadian news patterns in a post President Trump period. Generally the major Canadian networks like to cover about half an hour of what the Liberal party is doing in Parliament, then move right back into their scheduled 23.5 hours of American coverage. The Canadian fascination of American politics has fascinated me for years, and I wish to get to the bottom of why it's there in the first place. I also plan to explore other countries coverage of the United States like Great Britain or France. In fact, I tend to trust France24 translated into English to look at one of the more (in my opinion) unbiased, plain view, outside perspectives to be found on the globe.
